In 1996 ‘Double Impact’ received the gold award for "Excellence in Craftsmanship." 

In 1997 ‘Double Impact’ releases the sexy and popular ‘Double Impact’, China and Jazz action figures. Toys r' Us refuses to carry the femme fetal’s due to the toys provocative outfits and well equipped bods only to create more of an Interest and making CRAZE. In no time more hip and trendy units of China and Jazz, 150,000 units sell out of the first run. Only days after thousand s more Toys of Chine and Jazz were created this time giving fans cool options of rare Cammo Editions, Clear Glass Limited Editions. Double Impact China and jazz became one of the hottest Toys collectibles in the Toy and Hobby Market Including China. Soon Ricky Carralero’s BAD GIRLS Double Impact find themselves on every Toy And Hobby Magazine Covers! 

 

 In 1998 ‘Double Impact’ becomes 

Top ten most popular comics in the wizard’s Comic Book Guide. (The bible in the comic book Industry).

After establishing a well known name in the industry Ricky was forced to make a career change. Stop drawing comics and move into drawing and painting pinups. The first painting was of the popular bad girl and pinup goddess Julie strain.  I wanted to paint Julie. I was a huge fan of the pinup goddess so what better ways to be noticed than painting Julie strain.   Once the painting was created the original was send to Julie. A few days later the phone rang. It was Julie herself calling Ricky. The rest is history. Ricky began doing paintings for Julie Strain for  her private collection. Soon after he was discovered by fine arts collectors and dealers such as Marianne o’ Phillips. Marianne commissioned Ricky for a number of originals and soon after Ricky Carralero would be discovered by “ god father of the pinup world “  Robert s. bane.  Some of Ricky carralero’s most popular commissions include Julie strain, Bettie Page, Pamela Anderson, Dita,  to name a few.  

Among collectors in the industry Ricky work is valued in the thousands of dollars.  ​​​​

Hollywood, CA – Motion picture production company announces “three picture deal” with one of the hottest Latina screenwriters to break into the film industry: thirty-one-year-old, Mylo Carbia.

 

Global Screen Partners is pleased to announce a “three picture deal” with one of the hottest Latina screenwriters to break into the film industry: thirty-one-year-old, Mylo Carbia. 

 

Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, Global Screen Partners will produce three of Carbia’s projects over the next 24 months -- starting with her award-winning psychological thriller STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS. 

 

“I have read hundreds of scripts over the years and STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS is without a doubt one of the best I’ve seen in over a decade," said Global Screen Partners’ president Richard Garcia (Urban Jungle, Un Argentino En New York).

 

"As soon as I read the first page, I couldn’t put it down. Afterwards, I called my partners and said, ‘Guys, we HAVE to make this movie!’”

 

Global Screen Partners recently acquired STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS and placed it on the production fast track. This new deal ensures that Carbia’s next two projects receive similar treatment.

 

“We can’t believe the buzz this project is creating,” said producer Robert W. Whitmore (Runaway Train, Texasville). “We’re receiving a half a dozen phone calls a week from agents trying to land the lead roles for their clients. Anyone who reads this script knows it’s Oscar material.”

 

STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS -- scheduled for release late next year -- is the story of a woman brutally raped in college by three privileged fraternity brothers, then paid to keep quiet until the statute of limitations expires. But years later, when a twist of fate brings one of the perpetrators back into the woman’s life, it triggers a chain of events that results in one serious white-knuckle thriller.

 

The three-picture deal also includes the rights to produce Carbia’s music-driven comedy TOTALLY LIPSTICK! as well as ENRIQUE CARRALERO’S DOUBLE IMPACT -- an action/adventure flick based on the seventh best selling comic book series of the same name.

 

“I pushed for the rights to TOTALLY LIPSTICK! the minute I finished reading the treatment,” said producer Lyndale Pettus (Blue Crush, 2 Fast 2 Furious). “It’s absolutely hysterical!” 

 

TOTALLY LIPSTICK! follows the story of four down-and-out drag queens who try to save their stale cabaret act by transforming a runaway teenage tomboy into a glamorous diva. The project is currently in development and scheduled for release late next year as well.

 

The third picture -- ENRIQUE CARRALERO’S DOUBLE IMPACT -- is set in a fictional gothic underworld filled with villainous characters motivated by greed, lust and sadistic pleasures. The movie follows the adventures of a buxom bounty hunter team of Latina look-alike beauties, China and Jazz, who seduce the bad guys in order to bring them to justice.

 

“I spent nine years trying to find the perfect writer to bring Double Impact to the big screen,” said Enrique Carralero, creator of the Double Impact comic book series. “When I read Mylo’s proposed storyline for the movie, I knew it was time to get rockin’ with this.”

 

After careful consideration, the Global Screen Partners management team chose to not make the terms of the deal public. “Let’s put it this way,” said screenwriter Mylo Carbia, “They made me a VERY happy woman.”
